Throughout my time of research and interaction within the fetish of Financial Domination I have found that there is a fine line that Dommes must tread. As a Domme develops her own personal style,she reaches a point where in order to avoid dealings with those that seek her out for the sole purpose of obtaining free time,the decision must be made whether to take a chance speaking with males that most likely will fall into the later category,or to enact the no free chat policy.
If she opts to expend no amount of time without tribute she may in fact be deemed fake as many hold with the opinion that a "true" Domme would spend days,weeks,months,or even years forming a bond with a sub without receiving remuneration for her time and effort,when in actuality she is merely performing a screening process to eliminate submissive imposters. The quagmire now is to find that fine line that must be tread that enables a Domme to make a connection with a submissive while bypassing any waste of time upon those not worthy of her notice.
I have applied both techniques,and found that what works for me is to refrain from any conversation that deviates from vanilla interests,thereby keeping the exchange devoid of any material that may illicit physical reactions. If at any point the dialogue traverses into fetish subjects,then the matter of tribute is immediately brought to their attention. Now they are limited to the options of,either willfully and dutifully donating,or being banished from my presence. It is a rationalism that has stood me in good stead,therefore I have implemented it into my personal policy.
